Admission Middle Management Institute (AMMI) serves as a unique professional development opportunity for mid-level leaders within the field of college admission. The workshop is designed to foster collegiality and transparency in the exchange of insight critical to professional advancement.

AMMI challenges participants with content suggested as essential to the successful growth trajectory of mid-level admission professionals. The leadership and facilitators of this workshop utilize small group discussions, promising practices and expert panels to cultivate life-long professional competencies and connections. Specific skills include strategic planning, managing and advocating for your budget, achieving success through coaching, and working with third-party vendors.

Strategic Data Analysis

Tailored for both the math-anxious and data nerds alike, attendees will engage with real world data problems relevant to senior level admissions/EM positions. A recent NACAC report noted a “lack of capacity among emerging professionals to perform the increasingly common data analysis functions of their positions”. This session will be an introduction to data analysis essentials, including asking the right questions, basis analysis methods, external data sources, turning data into strategy, and ethical dilemmas.

It’s exciting when the world hands us tangible lessons on a silver platter. Even better when we get sound bites to use in our meetings included in the learning. Such is the case with a particular element of the feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake.

We will review the timeline and takeaways from the global phenomenon that is #BBLDrizzy. How can we apply lessons to our own institutional brand awareness and marketing efforts? How can we connect these concepts to leadership that has no idea who Drake or Kendrick Lamar is?
