NACAC’s annual conference is one of the best opportunities for professionals to learn the latest trends and network with colleagues in the field of college admission counseling. Here, we hope to provide some answers to the most popular questions that a first-timer might have while planning their NACAC conference experience.
Yes! There is a can’t miss First Timers’ Orientation scheduled for Thursday, September 21 from 8:00AM-9:00AM in Hall A, that will introduce you to other first timers and get some insider tips about navigating your first NACAC Conference. We recommend including this as part of your experience during the conference registration process. If you have any burning questions you’d like addressed during the orientation program, fill out this form.
NACAC Conference 2023 runs from September 21-23. If possible, we recommend arriving early to get settled, pick up your conference badge and swag, and explore the area.
Once you register for conference and we receive payment, you will receive an email with a unique housing link. Here you can peruse NACAC room blocks and hotel reservations through ARES. Here, you can select the best hotel to meet your needs and budget, based on availability. You are not required to book a hotel in a NACAC room block, though these tend to be the best rates.
We’re excited that both our schedule at a glance and our full conference agenda are now available. A couple of weeks prior to conference, information regarding the NACAC Conference 2023 app will be released. Registered conference attendees will be notified via email. This will serve as your one-stop-shop for all things conference! On the app you can peruse education sessions, exhibitors, sponsors, and fellow attendees.

Business casual attire is recommended. Please note, the climate inside the convention center will be cooler than outdoors. Comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.
While we can not predict the weather, the average temperature in Baltimore in late September is 74 degrees Fahrenheit.
Boxed lunches are available during the 12:15pm – 1:00pm Special Interest Group meetings on Thursday, September 21. Snacks and refreshments are served during the other SIG meeting time slots. Light hors d’oeuvres are served at the Welcome Reception and Closing Celebration. There are various food options found throughout the convention center, including on the Expo floor. For other dining recommendations, we suggest visiting the hospitality table in the registration lobby.
Yes! WiFi will be made available throughout the convention center. Information on accessing the internet will be available in the NACAC Conference app.
NACAC is committed to supporting nursing mothers while they are at NACAC Conference 2023. Private nursing mothers rooms will be available throughout the convention center. This year, we will have nursing mother pods on Level 300 across from room 342 and in the Camden Lobby Foyer (near room 346).

Many exhibitors, sponsors, and other organizations host events that take place outside of official NACAC programming. If you’re interested in learning more about a specific organization, we recommend reaching out so you can be added to their guest list if they plan to host an event! Please note, these are not official NACAC conference events and therefore NACAC does not manage the registration process.
All educational sessions conclude on Saturday afternoon. There will be a closing mainstage to follow. Following the closing speaker, all attendees have a break and the NACAC Closing Celebration will begin that evening. You won’t want to miss it!
