Safety and Security
NACAC works closely with the public safety and security teams at the Greater Columbus Convention Center (GCCC), hotels, Columbus Police Department, Columbus Fire Department, ambassadors from Experience Columbus, NACAC’s EMS services, and others.
If you see something, say something. No concern is too small to report!
- Be aware of your surroundings at all times.
- Travel around the city with a friend during early morning, evening, and night hours.
- Don’t wear your conference badge or other ID outside of the convention center. Remove it as soon as you leave the venue.
- Don’t carry a lot of cash or credit cards.
- Don’t leave your personal property unattended anywhere or anytime.
In case of emergency at the GCCC, please contact the GCCC Security Command Center/Security Team by dialing extension 2547 if using a convention center house phone or at (614) 827-2547 if using your personal phone.
Due to the size of the GCCC, please do not dial 911 directly to ensure that first responders are given detailed and accurate location information to avoid delays.
For emergency assistance at hotels, dial 0 for the operator or icon designated for security on the phone in your room.
If you need emergency assistance outside of the convention center or your hotel, dial 911.
