Thank you for considering submitting an education session proposal for inclusion in NACAC Conference 2023. NACAC is accepting proposal applications that focus on topics pertinent to the field of college admission counseling.

The call for proposals opens Friday, February 10, and closes Friday, April 21.

Application Requirements

Along with information about the education session organizer and any speakers who would be presenting at NACAC Conference 2023, applicants will need to provide the following information about their proposed education session:

  1. Session Title

  3. Intended Audience 
    • Secondary (public or private), postsecondary (public or private), CBO, IEC, international, or other
  4. Content Level  
    • Entry, mid, or advanced
  5. Learning Objectives 
    • Must provide three clear learning objectives
  6. Education Content Strands  
    • Select the three strands that are most relevant to the proposed session

  7. CE Eligibility 
  8. Previous Presentations of the Session 
    • *If applicable*

What We Encourage

For all education session proposals, we encourage: 

  • Collaborative strategies  
    • E.g., CBOs and school counselors, public and private, secondary and postsecondary, etc.  
  • Focus on equity in college access 
    • In anticipation of the pending Supreme Court decision and NACAC’s work to elevate equity in postsecondary access 
  • More than one institution being represented 
    • E.g., Representation from both public and private institutions

Proposal applications for the following types of sessions will be accepted: 

  • Education sessions (60 minutes), which can have up to four total presenters 
  • Learning lounges (30 minutes), which can only have one presenter 

No, you cannot submit an incomplete proposal application or provide speaker information after the application deadline. Any incomplete proposal applications will not be reviewed. 

No, speakers planning to present during the in-person conference must attend the event in Baltimore, MD.  

Yes, speakers will be responsible for their own registration (with a $50 discount), travel, and hotel accommodations.
