Thank you for your interest in our Call for Proposals for inclusion in NACAC Conference 2024. NACAC is accepting proposal submissions that focus on topics pertinent to secondary, postsecondary, and CBO college admission professionals.

Timeline

  • Thursday, October 19th: Call for Reviewers opened
  • Tuesday, November 7th: Call for Proposals opens
  • Wednesday, November 15th, 1 pm (EST): Webinar on proposal submission process
  • Monday, November 27th: Call for Reviewers closes
  • Sunday, January 7th, 11:59 pm (EST): Call for Proposals closes
  • Tuesday, Jan 8 – Sunday, Jan 28: Submissions are reviewed
  • Thursday, February 16: Notifications are posted

Application Requirements

Along with information about the speaker(s) who may present at NACAC Conference 2024, applicants will need to provide the following information about their proposed session:

1. Session Type

  • Education Sessions will be 60 minutes long with up to 4 presenters (including the moderator)
  • Learning Lounges will be 30 minutes long with only 1 presenter

4. Primary Intended Audience

  • Secondary (public or private), Postsecondary (public or private), CBO, IECs, International, or other

5. Content Level

  • Entry-level
  • Intermediate
  • Advanced

6. Learning Objectives

  • Please list 3 Learning Objectives
  • “At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be better able to…”

7. Education Content Strands

  • Select three content strands that are most relevant to your proposed submission

8. CE Eligibility

  • If your primary target audience includes secondary counselors, your proposed submission may be eligible for CE credits.

9. Previous Presentations of the Session (if applicable)

For all proposals, we encourage:

  • Emphasis on improving access to postsecondary education
  • Collaboration between practitioners in different roles
    • i.e. IECs and school counselors, public and private, secondary and postsecondary, etc.
  • Actionable takeaways and resources

No, an incomplete proposal application will not be reviewed.

No, you cannot submit an incomplete proposal application or provide speaker information after the application deadline. Any incomplete proposal applications will not be reviewed. 

Absolutely! Please note you will not be allowed to review your own proposal.

We do not limit the number of proposal submissions.

No, speakers on accepted sessions must attend the event in person in Los Angeles, CA.
